Aspect Home Services Ltd. BBQ Cleaning Service Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: May 5, 2025
By booking a BBQ cleaning service with Aspect Home Services Ltd. ("we," "us," or "our"), you ("the Client") agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding with your booking.
1. Client Responsibilities – Gas Disconnection Requirement
1.1. Mandatory Gas Disconnection: The Client is required to fully disconnect the gas supply to the barbecue (BBQ) prior to the arrival of our cleaning team. For propane BBQs, this includes turning off the propane tank valve (fully closed) and detaching it from the BBQ. For natural gas BBQs, this includes shutting off the natural gas supply at the designated valve (typically located on the supply line or at the property’s shut-off point).
1.2. Verification: The Client must ensure the gas supply is safely disconnected and confirm this action at the time of booking. Our team will visually verify disconnection upon arrival but will not perform any gas-related disconnection, reconnection, or repairs.
1.3. Safety Compliance: Failure to disconnect the gas supply may result in unsafe conditions, including the risk of gas leaks. The Client assumes full responsibility for ensuring this step is completed correctly.

2. Right to Refuse Service
2.1. Non-Compliance: If the gas supply to the BBQ is not disconnected upon our team’s arrival, Aspect Home Services Ltd. reserves the right to refuse service completion at our sole discretion.
2.2. Fees for Refusal: In such cases, a service call fee of $50 CAD may be charged to cover travel and time costs, payable immediately. Alternatively, the Client may disconnect the gas supply in the presence of our team, and service may proceed once safety is confirmed.
2.3. Rescheduling: If service is refused due to non-compliance, rescheduling will be treated as a new booking, subject to availability and applicable rates.
3. Scope of Service
3.1. Cleaning Only: Our service is limited to cleaning non-gas-related components of the BBQ, such as grates, drip trays, hoods, and exterior surfaces. We do not service, repair, adjust, or handle gas lines, burners, valves, or other fuel-related components.
3.2. Gas-Related Issues: If our team identifies potential gas-related issues (e.g., damaged hoses, leaks, or clogged burners) during cleaning, we will inform the Client but cannot address these issues. The Client is responsible for hiring a licensed gas technician for any repairs or reconnection of the gas supply.
4. Liability and Disclaimer
4.1. Limited Liability: Aspect Home Services Ltd., its employees, and its agents shall not be liable for any damage, injury, or loss arising from:
-
The Client’s failure to properly disconnect the gas supply.
-
Pre-existing defects, wear, or damage to the BBQ, whether identified during cleaning or not.
-
Gas leaks, fires, or other incidents related to the BBQ’s gas system before, during, or after our service.
4.2. Assumption of Risk: The Client acknowledges that BBQ cleaning involves inherent risks, including potential damage to aging or poorly maintained equipment. By booking our service, the Client assumes responsibility for the condition of their BBQ and any risks associated with its use post-cleaning.
4.3. No Warranty: We do not guarantee the operational performance or safety of the BBQ following cleaning. The Client is responsible for ensuring the BBQ is reconnected and tested by a qualified professional if necessary.
5. Payment and Cancellation
5.1. Payment Terms: Full payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed. If service is refused due to non-compliance (see Section 2), any applicable fees will be invoiced immediately.
5.2. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations are to be made through writing, either as an e-mail to contact@aspectservices.ca, or a text message to +1 (905) 707 - 8884. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment are subject to a cancellation fee of $25 CAD.

5.3. Rescheduling & Subsequent Cancellations: If a job is rescheduled within 24 hours before the originally scheduled service date, and then cancelled at any time after the originally scheduled service date, the $25 CAD cancellation fee will still apply — regardless of notice period.

5.4 Payment should be made in full within seven (7) days of service completion. Late fees will be applied at a fixed rate of CAD $20 per each day late, unless otherwise specified.

6. Safety and Conduct
6.1. Safe Work Environment: The Client must provide a safe and accessible work area for our team, free from hazards unrelated to the BBQ itself.
6.2. Team Authority: Our team reserves the right to halt work if conditions are deemed unsafe, including but not limited to active gas leaks or aggressive behavior from the Client or others on-site.
7. Governing Law
7.1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
8. Acknowledgment
8.1. By booking our service, the Client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. The Client also acknowledges that Aspect Home Services Ltd. is not a licensed gas contractor under the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) and does not perform gas-related work.
